Bailey Gt70 2018 Alutech dramas

Описание: Video outlining the findings of the underneath of my recently purchased (Nov 2024) 2018 GT 70 Palermo.
I wasn't expecting to find this, the van has full service history with no recorded damp on the floor. What was unknown to me was the damp check is internal only, the external is not usually checked although most service folk in the know will check for this.
Also I didn't realise the extent of the Bailey Alutech issues!
So far it appears the issue is due to the design, the lower sides of the van are at the same position/height of the lower floor so water tracks across the bottom of the sides and onto the wooden floor, there is no drip rail as such. Also, the lower skirts and front/rear panels in places are tight up against the floor.
For this reason the water does not run directly onto the ground in places but tracks all round the bottom of the skirts/side and onto the lower floor ply wood.
What a poor design from Bailey! And im pretty sure they still are fitting wooden floors with the same issue in 2025!
I bought this van with the extended Bailey warranty to 10 years, what ever could go wrong with damp?! Well the above as ive found the warranty only covers internal leaks where a seal has failed!
And not where the design is just naff!
Lovely van otherwise, but would I buy another Bailey?
