The cyclopean wall is located in Rajgir. Basically the city of Rajgir is encircled by a massive 40-kilometer-long wall. The wall was built during the Mauryan rule over a period of two thousand and five hundred years ago, primarily with the purpose of protecting their capital from the external invaders and enemies. The wall is estimated with large raw stones blocks. The Cyclopean Wall is constructed over Rajgir hill and plains including several gates and fortifications.
The archeological survey of India is responsible for its maintenance. In order to get a glimpse of the part, these walls, one has to go on Rajgir Gaya road near Southern gateway at a distance of few kilometers towards the old Rajgir. Presently the wall does not exist around the city in its old glory and only some of its ruins are left over, but certainly the place is one of the esteem visit for every visitor.
