UCO Bank Employees Stage Second Day of Protest in Bhagalpur Against Allegations of Corruption and Mental Harassment in Transfer-Posting Process |
The atmosphere remains tense at the UCO Bank Zonal Branch in Bhagalpur due to serious allegations of irregularities (धांधली) in the transfer-posting process and mental harassment of female employees. In protest, bank employees took to the streets for the second consecutive day, holding a demonstration and shouting slogans at the main gate of the Zonal Office.
The demonstration, led by the Bihar State UCO Bank Officers Association and the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), accused the Zonal Branch of rampant arbitrariness (मनमानी), claiming transfers are based on favoritism and employees face mental pressure when complaining. Leaders warned of a fierce statewide movement if the situation is not immediately corrected.
