Measuring Four Different Compression Drivers

Описание: Continuing on from last...I look at the time domain performance of four compression drivers. I then modify one compression driver and compare the test results. This video is a series of videos where I explore the performance in pursuit of the best and most affordable compression driver for an audiophile application. This means emphasis is placed on sound quality and not necessarily high SPL, or high sensitivity. In future videos I will be looking at extending the bandwidth to achieve a lower cutoff frequency so that we can use the compression driver in the ES600 Biradial Horn currently in development. For me 600Hz strikes a good balance since it’s quite achievable to obtain output up to 20KHz with still respectably wide coverage pattern. Having one driver cover 600Hz to 20KHz will maintain that point source coherency that so many audiophiles desire for their music listening experience.
