Bit of History for you....

Did you know the grand old tradition of Trooping the Colour may have first trotted out during the reign of Charles II—yes, the original party king with fabulous wigs and even better court drama (1660–1685, if you're counting)?

Then in 1748, someone had the brilliant idea: “Let’s make this parade the Sovereign’s official birthday bash!” And voilà! When George III took the throne in 1760, it became the royal equivalent of an annual cake-and-confetti day—only with more horses and fewer balloons.

Fast forward to today, and this dazzling display of pomp, pageantry, and perfectly polished boots still marks the monarch’s official birthday. A truly royal knees-up, if ever there was one! 🎺👑
