We forgot one important thing about kayaking in Florida… there are gators here.
While traveling full-time in our RV, we spent the day exploring the Lower Santa Fe River in High Springs, Florida. From calm stretches of river and turtles basking in the sun to spotting two gators, floating through a Class 1 rapid, and swimming in the crystal-clear water at Ginnie Springs — this adventure reminded us why we love this life.
We rented our kayaks from Rum 138, who shuttle you to the launch site and pick you up at the end. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the area.
