‘You are the worst reporter’: Trump scolds CNN reporter after Epstein question | ABS-CBN News

Описание: U.S. President Donald Trump criticized CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins on Tuesday (February 3), saying she 'never smiles' and she's the 'worst reporter' after she asked him questions relating to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

"You are the worst reporter... I don't think I've ever seen you smile. I've known you for ten years. I don't think I've ever seen a smile on your face," Trump said to Collins at the White House after the president signed a bill to end the partial government shutdown.

Trump was asked by another reporter what his reaction was to news that former U.S. president Bill Clinton and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton would testify later this month in a congressional investigation into Epstein. Trump said, 'It's a shame' and he 'feels badly' they have to go through that.

Another reporter asked Trump if he had any reaction to the investigation into Peter Mandelson, Britain's former ambassador to the U.S., over alleged misconduct in public office, following claims that he leaked market-sensitive information to Epstein. Trump said he 'didn't know much about it.'

The U.S. Justice Department's recent release of millions of internal documents related to Epstein has revealed the late financier and sex offender's ties to many prominent people in politics, finance, academia and business - both before and after he pleaded guilty in 2008 to prostitution charges.

Epstein's 2019 death in a Manhattan jail cell was ruled a suicide. Ghislaine Maxwell, a British socialite and Epstein's former girlfriend, is serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of sex trafficking of a minor and other charges.
