Boeing 737 MAX 8 / 737-8 | Amazing flight from Buenos Aires to São Paulo (aka the plane & the baby)

Описание: Flight from Buenos Aires EZE- to São Paulo GRU on LV-HKV, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 (aka 737-8) delivered to Aerolineas Argentinas in February 2018. This is my first flight on a Boeing 737 MAX 8.

This flight took place on February 17, 2019, only a few days before the crash of flight ET302. I had a flawless and great flight. I sincerely wish that the causes of the two crashes can be discovered and fixed. This is an amazing plane and I hope to fly again on one of them soon. At the time of editing this video, all the 350 737 MAX that have been delivered are grounded.
I've read a lot about the two accidents involving the 737 MAX,but won't make any comments in this video. My intention here is to highlight the beauty and technical improvements of this plane.

I've traveled hundreds of times and I've never heard a baby screaming like the one in this flight…
In the video you can see the following:
CFM LEAP 1B engine, a wonderful piece of engineering and the main reason why I wanted to fly on this plane. LEAP is the acronym of Leading Edge Aviation Propulsion. This engine replaces the CFM56 used on the Boeing 737 NG and was designed to burn 10-12% less fuel than its predecessor.
This engine is bigger than the CFM56 and is placed in a position much forward than in the 737 NG. The fan diameter in the LEAP-1B engine is 176 cm while the CFM56-7B that powers the 737 NG has a fan diameter of 155 cm. The fan has flexible blades manufactured by a resin transfer molding process, which are designed to untwist as the fan's rotational speed increases. The 18-blade, woven carbon-fiber fan enables a 9:1 bypass ratio (up from 5.1:1 with the previous 24-blade titanium fan) for a 40% smaller noise footprint. While the LEAP is designed to operate at a higher pressure than the CFM56 (which is partly why it is more efficient), GE plans to set the operating pressure lower than the maximum in order to maximize the engine's service life and reliability. Among other differences with the 737 NG, we can find the Advanced Technology winglets, the 787-styled tail cone, which will deliver better aerodynamics in the airflow through the empennage, changes in the software, Including the MCAS and a 20 cm taller nose-gear strut. The Boeing 737 NG can either have blended winglets or split scimitar, which resemble the AT winglet, but are different.
