It's an autobiography of a young woman who came to the U.S. with dreams of building a better life. As I read about her journey, I was completely drawn in by her strength and perseverance, especially when she faced the challenges of being a single mother and not knowing English. She transformed herself into a warrior, refusing to let abuse, discrimination, or language barriers stand in the way of her dreams.

I was especially intrigued by her decision to become a correctional officer, not only to learn about life behind prison walls but also to know a notorious serial killer who had terrorized so many lives. Every chapter left me eager to know what would happen next, especially reading the serial killer’s letters he sent to her. This is the kind of story that inspires you deeply, and I can't recommend it enough!
