HarperCollins UK has ended its publishing relationship with David Walliams and says it won’t release any new books by him. The publisher didn’t give details, but said it has processes for reporting and investigating concerns and won’t comment on internal matters.

Walliams’ spokesperson said he was never told about any allegations by HarperCollins, wasn’t interviewed as part of any investigation, and denies any inappropriate behaviour. The move follows a Telegraph report saying the decision came after an investigation into claims involving young women.

Walliams, 54, is a major UK children’s author whose books have sold over 60 million copies worldwide. He began publishing with HarperCollins in 2008 and received an OBE in 2017.
