Описание: Diagnosing inflammatory arthritis, like most medical conditions, starts with taking a detailed story (the history) and performing an examination of the affected areas. It is usually followed by requesting suitable investigations that help to confirm, or deny, the clinical suspicion. These tests are very valuable but, like most investigations in medicine, have some limitations. In todays video, I discuss the commonly requested tests for patients presenting with symptoms of inflammatory arthritis. In particular, I discuss the rheumatoid factor, anti CCP antibody, CRP and the ESR test.
