Puncturing MacBook battery to fix trackpad issues - 2012 not retina is a harder one!

Older mac batteries before Retina models are usually depleted before they inflate, but this managed to even report fully functional after puncturing! Usually, a punctured battery loses some capacity and gets reported as needinf replacement, and last no more than a year.
I did not have the 3 pointed screwdriver to remove the battery from the mac and the battery was sealed in hard plastic and some other rubber material, making it a lot harder than retina batteries to puncture.
Remember to handle with care, always puncture from the side pointing out from the battery to avoid damaging the internals and lit a fire! Keep a small blanket or any tissue ready to apply on the puncture to take oxygen out if that happens, don't throw the battery away nor use water !
