Nina introduces Forever Notts (formerly Nottinghamshire Community Foundation), the only quality-accredited grant giver in the city and county.

Over 27 years the charity has distributed over £30 million in small grants to local charities, keeping 100% of donor funds local and supporting over 300 projects a year, from homelessness and mental health to young people's suicide prevention.

She then turns to what community intelligence tells us about children and young people: more young people are disengaging from education, growing numbers on the autistic spectrum can't access adequate provision, and a new generation increasingly detects authenticity – and refuses to accept its absence. Drawing on research from the HeartMath Institute and her own lived experience, Nina argues that our children read us more clearly than we realise, and that the voluntary sector sits in a unique position to meet them where they are.
