Описание: The last of the Bobbi Humphrey tracks, in this fine trio of releases, is one of my own personal favourite Bobbi Humphrey tunes. Featured on the 1979 Epic Records album 'The Good Life' this is one of Bobbi's finest ballads. Songs such as these are very 'out of vogue' these days. 'Years From Now' is a fine example of a tune which might be described as 'song led'. Bobbi penned this song with her guitarist Ronnie Miller, and in doing so created a real 24 carat beauty. Ably assisted by Eric Gale, Ray Chew, Richard Tee and Paul Griffin, on instruments, along with production chores by Ralph McDonald and the veteran producer William Eaton, this is a very worthy addition to any soul fan's collection. In these days where the top 40 is essentially video's, accompanied by a nursery rhyme set to a disco beat, the likes of some of todays pretenders, would do well to look through the back catalogue of Bobbi Humphrey. They might learn a thing or two!
