Описание: Road trip | Shimla | Naldehra | Tattapani | Our road trip was for 3 nights and 4 days. We started our journey from district Kangra to Bilaspur and then to Shimla. On Reaching Shimla around 6:30 p.m, we decided to roam with family around the famous Mall road aka The Ridge. One can avail government buses and taxis to reach Mall road from all important locations in Shimla. But we preferred to walk the distance. The place was quite crowded. I just loved the food available at every nook and corner alongside the Mall road. Variety of food was available like hot stuffed toast, momos, burgers, hot boiled eggs, tea, coffee, maggi and many more.

Next morning we made a visit to Indian Institute of Advanced Studies which is witness to many important events of our freedom struggle. Next to it lies Himalayan Bird Park where one can enjoy the company of many exotic birds. Later, in the afternoon we moved towards Naldehra which is 26 km from Shimla. Naldehra is actually a small village surrounded by deodar forest. Naldehra is famous for its 16 hole Golf Course and is a must visit place. Lord Curzon, the British Viceroy of India fell in love with the spot and camped here for days on end. He was so enchanted by the spot that he named his daughter ‘Naldera’ after the place. We went for a walk in the woods around Golf course and visited temple dedicated to Naag deity. We befriended by couple of cute local dogs.

Next day we drove further to Tattapani, a place conspicuous by its name is known for hot water springs which helps cure many skin ailments. It is 34 km from Naldehra. Other than this one can enjoy boating in lake which is formed after the construction of Kol dam on Sutlej River. On our way back to Shimla in the afternoon we took detour towards Kufri. It was so much over crowded and it turned us off so much that we left the place in a jiffy.
On the last day of our trip we went again to the Mall road in the morning and enjoyed the crisp sunshine and chilly weather. And enjoyed the humble south Indian fair at good old Indian Coffee House at the Mall and that was the end of our trip. :)
