ARMOR for some time now has a very accurate IR model whereby every pixel of every model has thermal properties. This capability has been great for first-person ISTAR training, giving a very accurate thermal view of the world through camera sensors
We are now very excited to announce an upcoming capability: Soon, our MACE-ARMOR users will benefit from the merging of the 2 technologies
ARMOR can generate per-pixel IR images that can be used by MACE for target Tracking .
This unlocks effects such as weapon tracking affected by the phenomenon of ‘Thermal crossover’ (when the target is the same temperature as the surroundings), and affects IR tracking based on the time of day.
IR Weapons and other IR sensors in MACE will make full use of the ARMOR IR model, which ups the fidelity of the weapons simulations
