British media afraid of repercussions in naming royal members amid racism row

Описание: Political journalist Ava Santina says the majority of British media refused to name the two Royal Family members who were identified in the Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s book ‘Endgame’ over fears of their relationship with the monarchy.

“The main reason I applauded you for naming them yesterday was because I think the rest of the British media didn’t do it because they would like to keep some form of relationship with them,” Ms Santina told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.

“They were frightened about what the repercussions would be.”

The Dutch version of the book has been removed from shelves and author Omid Scobie has denied ever writing or releasing a version of the book that had these names in it.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not said anything on the latest controversy.
