Описание: Spesso ammiriamo il Duomo come un’opera d’arte compiuta, ma raramente guardiamo ciò che lo compone: un immenso mosaico di marmi, estratti, trasportati e riuniti con passione, sapienza, fatica.

👉 Quello che chiamiamo "marmo" è in realtà un reticolo geografico che unisce abbraccia l'intera Toscana: dalle cave di serpentino di Prato al rosso di Monsummano, fino al candido bianco di Seravezza.

Ogni lastra è un frammento di territorio che sfida il tempo, e che trasforma la pietra grezza nell'elegante abito della nostra Cattedrale.

🌍 THE WAYS OF STONE: THE CATHEDRAL'S ATTIRE

We often admire the Duomo as a completed work of art, but we rarely look at what composes it: an immense mosaic of marbles, extracted, transported, and brought together with passion, wisdom, and toil.

👉 What we call "marble" is actually a geographical network that embraces all of Tuscany: from the serpentino quarries of Prato to the red of Monsummano, to the pure white of Seravezza.

Each slab is a fragment of the territory that defies time, transforming raw stone into the elegant attire of our Cathedral.
