The Numbers is widely regarded as one of the best Class IV runs in Colorado, delivering fast, continuous whitewater with six major rapids stacked tightly into a short, committing stretch. As flows increase, the character shifts from technical and channelized to powerful big water, with massive holes, fast wave trains, and very limited recovery between features. At medium to higher flows, boat control, momentum, and decision making matter from the moment you drop in.

🌊 Section Highlights:
The Numbers — a fast, continuous Class IV stretch featuring six major rapids (#1–#6) packed into a short run with very little downtime. At lower flows, the river is technical and channelized with precise moves required. At medium flows, the rapids become pushy and powerful, and above 2200cfs the run takes on a true big-water character with massive holes, heavy laterals, and long wave trains. Rapid #1 is the most technical, while #4 and #5 are often the most consequential.
