Silver Reflective Heat Transfer Vinyl T-Shirt Printing Process

1. Design Preparation

Create your design/logo/text in vector software (CorelDRAW, Illustrator, or Cricut Design Space).

Mirror (flip horizontally) the design before cutting because HTV is applied face down.

2. Cutting the Vinyl

Place the Silver Reflective HTV (shiny reflective side facing down, dull carrier sheet side up) on the cutting mat.

Use a vinyl cutting machine (Cricut, Silhouette, Graphtec, or Roland).

Recommended cut settings:

Blade: 45°

Pressure: Medium to High (since reflective HTV is slightly thicker than standard PU vinyl).

Speed: Slow for clean edges.

3. Weeding the Design

Remove the excess vinyl using a weeding tool.

Only keep the design you want to transfer.

4. Heat Press Setup

Preheat the heat press machine.

Recommended temperature & time:

Temp: 150°C – 160°C (300°F – 320°F)

Time: 10 – 15 seconds

Pressure: Medium to Firm

Pre-press the T-shirt for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

5. Applying the Reflective HTV

Place the weeded design (shiny reflective carrier side up) on the T-shirt.

Cover with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper.

Press with the set time, temperature, and pressure.

6. Peeling

Silver Reflective HTV is usually a warm peel (wait 5–10 seconds after pressing before peeling).

Peel the carrier sheet carefully.

7. Final Press (Optional)

For durability, you can repress for 5 seconds with a Teflon sheet.
