Quilted Chore Coat QAL — Week 1: Quilt Prep + Cutting Your Pattern Pieces
It’s officially Week 1 of the Quilted Chore Coat Quilt-Along! This week we’re focusing on prep so that sewing goes smoothly next week. In this video, I’ll walk you through how to get your quilt ready and how to use your assembled paper templates to cut out all of your coat sections.
In this video, we cover:
How to prep your quilt before cutting (washing, drying, pressing + evaluating wear)
Checking placement and deciding what parts of the quilt to feature
Using your paper templates to cut each section accurately
By the end of this week, you’ll have all of your coat pieces cut and ready so we can start sewing everything together in Week 2.
