Thelma Schoonmaker has been Martin Scorsese’s editor for four decades. Together they’ve made twenty feature films. Yet, she has always stayed modest and made herself invisible, foregrounding her co-workers. She deserves more. Let's look at two of the greatest examples of her editing, both from the same excellent film: Raging Bull (1980).
