Did you know that your receipts may contain toxic substances? Today, the majority of tickets, labels and receipts are printed on thermal paper containing bisphenol, a recognized endocrine disruptor.
Koatin'G has developed an innovative, sustainable solution: a bisphenol-free thermal paper coating that is more respectful of health and the environment - without compromising printing performance.
In a global thermal paper market estimated at over 5 billion dollars, Koatin'G provides a concrete response to the new expectations of consumers and companies keen to reduce their impact.
From the Laboratory of Sustainable and Catalytic Processing (LPDC) at EPFL, under the direction of Professor Luterbacher, doctoral student Claire Bourmaud and scientist Manon Rolland are the two entrepreneurs behind Koatin'G. Specialists in lignin and polymers, they put their expertise at the service of more sustainable innovation.
