Alright, it's been a while since I've tried my hand at looking at a build, but I can give it another shot! What I like about Raw builds is that it's simple. No fancy schmancy swords shootin lasers or magic bull honkey. You're a soldier and a dang good one at that. Raw builds aren't anything particularly amazing, but what makes it rather a strong build at low level is the flexibility one can get from investing levels from STR and DEX, into areas like VIG, END, and VIT. You could also invest in some other areas like INT or FTH if you want some utility spells like buffs. Although I didn't do that route, you can.

The defense and absorption I gained from VIT and armor WAS noticeable, but whether or not it makes a substantial impact is questionable. What isn't questionable is the poise you can get from your armor which makes weapons with hyper armor more dangerous for your opponent. The one contender I would say that can possibly rival a raw build is a STR build since it also increases flat defense and some weapons, even at 18 STR are better heavy infused vs raw. Especially if you Two Hand it.

So if you're going into low-mid level, I would say a raw build could do you some good, and more stat efficient players out there could tweak a raw build to be even more dangerous, but if this video can spark some discussion, that's all that matters.
