In this video we teach you how to install a Wemo Smart Switch. Wemo Switches allow you to control your smart light switch remotely using your phone. You can also connect Wemo Switches to Alexa, Google Home or HomeKit for voice control of your Wemo switch.

These installation instructions will work for the the Wemo light switch and Wemo Dimmer.

Wemo light switches can replace most standard light switches and are designed to install within existing switch boxes. However Wemo smart switches do require a neutral wire in the switch box for setup and installation. Most homes built after 1980 will have a neutral wire in the switch box.

Wemo smart light switches connect directly to your wifi network and then use the Wemo app for smart remote control of your light switches. Once connected to the Wemo app, you can also set schedules for the Wemo light switches or combine them with groups of light switches to create scenes within the Wemo app.

Wemo makes smart on/off lights switches, smart dimmers and smart plugs that all work on the same wemo app. All of the Wemo devices connect directly to your wifi network and do not require a smart home hub to work.

Wemo also makes a 3 way compatible light switch that can be used in 3 way switch applications.
