Today we're talking about the Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D DL mount lens for the DJI Zenmuse X7.
This is the FIRST NON-DJI lens for the X7 which is really exciting, and at less than half the price point, too!
This lens is sharp, wide, and reliable, with low chromatic aberration and only a few small isms:
Curvature of field means you should shoot f/4 - f/8 if you can
Vignetting, typical with ultrawide lenses
It's a little back heavy, it almost needs a weight ring AND a filter just to be balanced for the X7 gimbal
Full manual just like its predecessor, the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 for Micro Four Thirds cameras like the X5S
It fits inside the DL lens case, it mounts securely, and produces beautiful wide scenes not possible with any other lens or camera system in its class.
