In this video Matthias Neumann, Senior Marketing Manager Consumer & Video Distribution at Socionext Europe answers these questions and explains some additional essential facts.
Radar sensors can be used for a wide range of applications where an automatic action is required for a moving object detection. Some examples could be control lights, heating and cooling systems, power on/off devices and open/close doors. A radar detector provides better detection performance, compared under similar conditions to technologies like passive infrared light or ultrasound.
We are on the brink of entering a world of home automation where home appliances incorporate IoT functionality and sensors are network-connected for interoperation, and where products are able to incorporate services that identify, interpret, and anticipate human behavior. To achieve digital transformation that blends the real and digital worlds, Socionext has developed compact and highly accurate radio-wave ranging sensors that feature low energy consumption and excellent cost/performance. Easy-to-use and offering a high level of sensing performance, these sensors are helping to realize the smart society of the future, with their use for object location dramatically broadening the possibilities of smart home IoT devices.
