Modern Farmhouse Bed Frame Build – DIY How To!

Описание: After building our Accent Grid Wall, I decided to try my hand at building a bed frame we found online! It only took about 3 days to build start to finish and was actually fairly easy! See video above and description below for everything you'll need! Cost about $300 total to make!

Materials:
Wood of your choice (At least go with Pine at a minimum) [NOTE: 8ft = 96" and 6ft = 72"] . We used Behr Silver City Paint and Kilz Primer white.

Wood:
-(8) 1X6's, Six ft long for the Headboard and Footboard Slats
-(2) 1x3's, Six ft long for the Top/End Caps
-(2) 1x8's, Eight ft long for the Side Rails
-(2) 2x2's, Eight ft long for the Bottom Slat Supports
-(6) 1x4's, Eight ft long for the Headboard and Footboard Legs
**IF you're building the bottom slats you'll also need:
**(5) 2x2's, Six ft long
NOTE: You could by a post with a dado blade for a saw table to make legs...but we didnt do this, because saw tables cost money :)

Nails & Hardware:
-Box of 1 1/4" Pocket Hole Screws
-Box of 1 3/4" Wood Screws
-Bottle of Gorilla Wood Glue

**IF you're building the bottom slats you'll also need:
**2 1/2" Wood Screws

Cuts:
-You'll cut the 1x6's [Slats] down from 72" to Eight, 62" Boards.
-You'll cut the 1x3's [Top Cap] down from 72" to Two, 69" Boards.
-You'll cut the 1x4's [Legs] down from 96" to Six, 50" HB Legs and Six, 23.5" FB Legs
-You'll cut the 1x8's [Rails] down from 96" to Two, 82"
-You'll cut the 2x2's [Supports] down from 96" to Two, 80"
**IF you're building the bottom slats you'll also need:
** To cut the 2x2's [Bottom Slats and Vertical Supports] down from 72" to 9" vertical supports and 63" cross supports.

Tools:
-Kreg Pocket Jig - Link Below (For pocket holes alignment and bits):

-Jig Saw (For cutting notches)
-Miter Saw (For all other cuts, could use Skill saw)
-Orbital Sander (For smoothing surfaces)
-Foam Roller and paint Brush (For Painting)
-Impact Drill (For drilling the pocket holes)
-Drill/Driver (For screws both wood and pocket with right bit)
-Tape Measure
