REAL SPORTS🔥: Uganda is constructing one of its most ambitious sports projects in Hoima City, Western Uganda. Hoima Stadium is a modern multi-purpose facility with a capacity of 20,000 seats. It is designed to host football, athletics, rugby and other sports. As one of the key venues for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, the stadium will set new standards for sports infrastructure in the region. The project started in mid-2024 and is progressing rapidly, with Turkish firm Summa International leading construction across 34.9 acres. The stadium features a main pitch, an indoor arena, a semi-Olympic swimming pool and courts for basketball, netball and volleyball. This facility will boost sports tourism, the local economy and community development in Bunyoro and beyond, with an expected completion date before the tournament kicks off.
