Hello, my name is Dr. Janet Stoess-Allan and I just want to share with you today a patient that I treated with Invisalign who came in to me with the chief complaint of crowding of her lower anterior teeth, so we're going to focus on the before and after of those lower anterior teeth. I want to inform you that this treatment lasted for only 8 months from start to finish and her teeth are perfectly straight at this point, and the patient is terrifically happy.

So I'd like for you to take a look at how she began. On this computer screen you can see that the lower anterior teeth are quite crowded, there must be approximately 3 or 4 millimeters of space that we need to gain. And after a series of aligners, we finished in the 8 month period with this perfect alignment. What you see behind the teeth is a grounded lingual retainer that's going from canine to canine that's made of white gold and this retainer is a permanent retainer that will stay in the patient's mouth and hold the teeth so there is absolutely no relapse.
