This sleepout is designed by 3D Maker Limited based on New Zealand code NZS3604 and high wind zone. Building paper and insulation are not shown in this video. You do not need building consent to build this sleepout (under 30sqm), however check with your local council before building. The design is based on simplicity and affordability. You can buy the full plans from trademe for $450.

This building will cost you about $25K for all the materials (excluding labour and tools). I have designed it in a way that you have almost 0 material waste.
This building is designed in a way to become a minor dwelling. You will need to get building consent if you add proposed bathroom and kitchen. You will need extra drawings and details for bathroom and kitchen if you intend to build them. I am happy to assist you for this.
You can build the cabin now and convert it to a minor dwelling later.
