This story is darker than my Blue Lights series. It follows Cyrus — a grim reaper who makes a dangerous deal with a human soul to protect a woman who no longer wants to live. The novel explores themes of purpose, lost souls, reincarnation, soulmate connections, grief, and whether humans have the right to choose their own ending.

As a self-published author and high school English teacher, I share what it’s like drafting a heavy fantasy novel, restructuring character arcs in Scrivener, and pushing through emotional resistance to hit a 3,000 word writing goal.
