Installing The Biggest Exhaust Modification For My Manual Toyota GR86!

Описание: 👋 In todays installation video, it's time to install a new exhaust system for the Toyota GR86! This is the AWE Touring Edition Exhaust system and it's a super simple install and a great way to really hear that boxer engine come to life! The specific kit for my car is the Touring Edition with the Diamond Black Tips!
To start on the uninstallation fo the stock Toyota system, you need to loosen to two bolts located right at the back of the catalytic converter. Hence why this is a cat-back system! Along with five hangers, that's all it takes to remove the stock system. Make sure you can get the car up high enough as I had a tight spot to work with.
Once you remove the stock system, start with the first piece just behind the catalytic converter and start your way back. Be mindful to slide on the supplied pipe clamps before attaching the exhaust pieces! Once you have the first two on and start working on the muffler, you need to attach the back two hangers first, and then from there you can attach the muffler to the mid pipe section!
Then it's time to install the elbow pipes for the exhaust tips, and then add the tips!
It was about a 2 hour project if that, so it's something that can be done in a matter of hours which is nice!
Now lets talk about the sound this AWE Touring Edition Exhaust has for the Toyota GR86! In a few of the clips, it sounds a little raspy, but I assure you in person, it sounds very good!! So far I don't hear any drone and it doesn't sound straight piped of course, so it gives the GR86 a great tone without going overboard! It's a nice system that has a much louder cold start, without being obnoxious for daily driving!!
