Jammu and Kashmir’s Snowshoe Association organised a Snowshoe sport event on the mountains of Harwan Garden in Srinagar. The purpose of the event was to promote physical fitness and highlight the importance of engaging with nature during the winter months. Snowshoeing, a sport that involves walking or running on snow through specially designed footwear, has gained attraction in Kashmir. In addition to this, the event served to bring attention to Kashmir’s growing infrastructure for winter sports, positioning the region as an emerging destination for winter tourism and international sports events.
