Pondy Marina Eco beach in Pondicherry is the new attraction for tourists that is located near the new lighthouse. It was developed under the theme-based beaches programs by the Pondicherry government and “Pondy Marina” beach is based on a food-based theme.
Pondy Marina Eco beach is located at Dubrayanpet, which is 1.5km from the White town, Pondicherry. Unlike the rock beach, where the tourists can hardly venture into the seashores, here as the name suggests it has a reasonable length of sandy beach.

Since it was developed based on a food theme by the Pondicherry government, Pondy Marina has a lot of food stalls. Pondy Marina has 34 food courts allocated, and most of them are in operation now. Shops like Richie Rich, Arun Ice cream, Baskin Robbins offer you different flavors of Ice creams, Popeye’s Kitchen offers you Snacks. While shops like Bamboo Biryani offer you Kerala-style Biryani, Big Chips offer you chicken nuggets, momos, etc. Chennai Kulfi offers you different varieties of Kulfis. One can enjoy gazing at the sea while eating and play on the shores.
One of the advantages of Pondy Marina is that it offers you different varieties of food at a reasonable price and at the same time you will enjoy the food under the moonlight with the soothing breeze from of sea.
Inside the Pondy Marina facility, there are activities for kids to play. The most important thing is that the restrooms are available at both ends. Horse riding on the sandy beaches just opposite to Pondy Marina is another attraction.

Adventure activities in Pondy Marina Eco beach

Right now they are offering horse riding on the beaches. They are planning to develop this place into an activity zone with a food court. A lot of adventure sports are planned to come in the near future like ATV, Para-Sailing, Beach Volleyball, etc.
They have a big open lawn to conduct parties and conferences. It will be fun to have a party next to the beach with all the facilities.


Best Season: Even though Pondy Marina is open on all days. July to March will be good in terms of weather. April to June will be hot but it will be great to spend time in the evening time.
