King County Metro uses data to scale electric bus operations

Описание: King County Metro is the eighth-largest transit bus agency in the United States, carrying an average of 395,000 passengers each weekday on 215 routes. Metro has 2,716 employees and operates 1,540 buses.

The agency is leading the transit industry — and the country — by being an early adopter of a battery-electric bus fleet, committing to reach a 100% zero-emissions fleet powered by renewable energy by 2035.

King County Metro is currently using the ChargePoint fleet monitoring solution on all its 40 electric buses to evaluate the performance of these newly purchased vehicles and learn how to scale its eBus operation most efficiently.
