Mercedes Vario Camper Conversion - Body finished - first outing!

Описание: his is the twelth video of our DIY motorhome conversion using a Mercedes Vario base vehicle.

This is our second van conversion, and I'm a great believer in doing as much myself as I possibly can.

I plan on a new video every few weeks.

This video is a continuation essentially of the repair work and modification I'm having to do to the main body. The Optare has been repaired in the past but not to a great standard honestly. I'm cutting out all the rusty bits and replacing them! I'm also spending time modifying the body to be more 'camper friendly'! More flat space!

It's turned into what feels like a 'full resto' on a coach, on my drive! I still hope to be using this in 25'. Every spare dry hour I have, I'm messing around in a Mercedes Vario minibus!

In this episode I complete the outside of the vans bodywork! We get the floor finished inside, using Phenolic Ply. I get the toilet CWA200 bolted in and working. We take the old girl for her first outing to CarFest!

Hopefully these videos may help you in the future with your van conversion ideas. Although I know we're probably going a bit more in depth than most at this point. The actual vario camper conversion will be able to begin as soon as the outside is solid!
