In this in-depth review I share my thoughts on the Genesis GV70 2.5T Luxury SUV, I was lucky enough thanks to Genesis UK (‪@genesis_europe‬ ) to live with the GV70 for an entire week, so was able to spend plenty of time with the vehicle, seeing how it performs day to day.

Although Genesis sits within the Hyundai Group, the GV70 is on a bespoke platform, not currently shared with any sibling Hyundai, or KIA products. Genesis feels quite separate from its fellow South Korean cousins, almost like Bentley is to Volkswagen or Rolls Royce to BMW!

The GV70 should be receiving a facelift soon too, as in South Korea and the US, the tweaked model has recently been launched, the update mostly focuses on the interior, with a larger connected infotainment/instrument display and a new steering wheel design. Minor exterior tweaks can be spotted on that car too, however it's a very marginal change.

The GV70 is a worthy competitor to cars such as the Audi Q5, BMW X3, XC60 and many, many more. An Electrified version is also available (A car which is think would make a lot of sense and be a dream to drive!) My main concern with the model I drove, was the poor fuel economy struggling to achieve over 25MPG; a hybrid model would be a very much welcomed addition to the range!
