Big Step to Reduce Road Accidents in India | Govt to Introduce V2V Technology in Vehicles

Описание: To put a brake on the rising number of road accidents in India, the Central Government is planning a major technological intervention. Soon, V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) communication technology will be introduced in vehicles across the country.

With V2V technology, vehicles on the road will be able to exchange real-time information with each other. If a vehicle suddenly applies brakes or faces danger ahead, the vehicles behind will receive automatic alerts, helping drivers avoid collisions.

According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, this technology can help prevent up to 80% of accidents caused by human error. It is especially useful during foggy conditions, sharp turns, and low-visibility zones, where drivers often fail to anticipate danger.

In the initial phase, the government plans to make V2V technology mandatory for new car models and commercial vehicles. This sensor-based system is expected to be a game-changer for road safety in India.
