13 February 2026: Handball Association of India (HAI) has officially nominated Dr. Hassan Imam Mallick, International Handball Coach and Manager (Health & Wellness), Sports Division, Tata Steel, as Observer for the Maharashtra Handball League scheduled to be held from 10 to 15 February 2026.
The nomination was issued by HAI Secretary General Dr. Tejraj Singh, acknowledging Dr. Mallick’s vast experience and technical expertise in handball. According to the association, his role will include observation, guidance, and technical supervision to ensure the smooth conduct of the league and to enhance the overall standard of competition.
HAI expressed confidence that Dr. Mallick’s professional insight and international exposure would contribute significantly to maintaining high organizational and technical benchmarks during the tournament.
The Maharashtra Handball League is expected to feature competitive participation and serve as an important platform for the development of the sport in the state.
