So I was looking for a video that would show me how to fix the E4 error code on the brezza, couldn't find one. I did however find a write up and it was perfect. I will add the write and give a big thanks to Bendermichaelr on reddit who was the one who wrote it up. I just decided to make a video to kind of walk you thru it, for visual learners. any questions please feel free to reach out.
The thermal fuse you'll need is rated for 77 degrees C, 10 amps and 250 volts. (https://www.amazon.com/BOJACK-Thermal.... I have the advance pro model where the reservoir is in the back of the machine. The black sides come off by removing all screws from the bottom and then sliding them up. Don't try to pop them with a shim because you'll break the tabs. You'll see a rectangular water tank on the bottom. You have to get that out. I basically just took out all the screws and all the tubes out, then took the back off. Make sure you take pictures so you remember where everything goes. The tubes needed cleaning bad. Once you get the internal reservoir out, you'll need to take the bottom of the reservoir off. Unscrew it, then just bend the daylights out of the plastic to get the bottom out. You'll then see the white wires going to the heating element. One of them has a rubber tube. Under that is the thermal fuse. You'll have to cut it out and replace with your new one. Careful soldering the fuse because you can severely lower the life of it by heating it too much. You can use a crimp connector instead. Then put it all back together! Getting the bottom of the reservoir back on is tricky. What I found is that you have to get the heating element and gasket back in place first. Before you press the bottom of the reservoir back in place, look for a hole in the bottom cover. Use a long stiff stick or screw driver through that hole and apply firm pressure to hold the heating plate in place as you jam the bottom cover back into its retaining slots. If you don't hold the heating plate in place, you'll never get a good seal. Good luck! Hope this was helpful to someone.
