No More Processions! Police Draw the Line After Injuries at NUP Campaigns

Speaking to the media, Police spokesperson ACP Rusoke Kituuma raised concerns over traffic disruptions and public safety risks caused by large gatherings and processions on public roads.
Following an incident along the Kalagi-Kayunga Road that left five people injured, police have directed commanders across the country to curtail unauthorized campaign processions. Footage captured by surveillance cameras was also released, showing reckless use of public spaces during these events.
The police emphasized the need for all political parties to adhere to traffic regulations, avoid obstructing roads, and stick to designated venues. Commanders have been instructed to take immediate action where violations occur.
