Big Night Trailer (1996)

Описание: Brothers, Primo and Secondo, have journeyed from Italy to New Jersey in the mid-1950s, determined to make a killing with an authentic Italian restaurant, The Paradise. But their food is a bit too authentic; Primo prepares a superb risotto, but most of his customers are wondering why they can't get spaghetti and meatballs. Secondo tries to convince his brother not to berate customers for requesting more "American" dishes, but Primo refuses. Meanwhile, Pascal, another local restaurateur, is doing great business with his Americanized "Italian style" food. With Primo's refusal to change his recipes catering to lowbrow tastes, Secondo goes to Pascal begging advice. Pascal offers to help knowing The Paradise is down to its last penny. He offers the brothers an opportunity to stage a banquet at The Paradise for Louis Prima, the famous Italian-American bandleader, giving false hopes that Prima, his entourage and hopefully the accompanying press will fall in love with their authentic food and sing high praises of the foundering restaurant. The preparations for the "big night" and the behind-the-scenes family drama ensue and false promises are soon exposed.
