Hello and thank you for viewing the first video for Rotten Fairytales. What I do is pretty obvious, at least I hope. I create music videos, mashups, OPVs, and just fan videos in general. I am a digital video student, so doing things such as this allow me to fine tune my skills. I mostly just create for fun, so when I get an idea, I match a video and song together such as this. I do like to tell a story with my videos, be it an already existing story or a new one all together.

In this case, I am retelling an already existing story. What is the story? It is the story of Caesar and his "father" Will. It shows their relationship from when he is a baby and continues all the way till adulthood. I felt the song really fit this story since the film it was originally used in, though not made for, have some similarities. In case you don't know, the film it was used in was Disney's Tarzan, where an gorilla took in a human. Where as this story is a human taking in a chimpanzee.

I really enjoyed this film much more than I thought I would. I know a fair amount of people saw this film only for Tom Felton or James Franco.Now there is a little something I want to share with you relating to this. I am a big Harry Potter fan, both books and movies, so the last film was like a metaphor for the ending of my childhood. However, I have watched the film several times and while my eyes have watered, I have not shed a single tear. Upon my first time watching Rise of the Planet of the Apes, I was sobbing. So I hold this film is close to my heart for making me feel such emotions for the characters of Will and Caesar.
