MIDDLE GRADE FICTION || 7th Grade Son's Recent Reads

Описание: Hey friends! In today's video I'm sharing the last few months of my son's recent reads. He loves fantasy and science fiction, but has begun to branch out into some more contemporary fiction.

We do censor the content he reads, and we are intentional about there not being exposure to heavy intimacy or substance abuse. Unfortunately, most adults write in romance, for even middle schoolers, and it's difficult to avoid completely. There are crushes and some romantic relationships in the books listed, but there is no explicit or intimate scenes.

He loves a battle, he loves dangerous adventures, and the content in the books I mention do contain war, duels, injuries, and death. There is magic, and talk of "evil" in several. I highly suggest looking into each book yourselves before passing it onto your children, because what I may deem appropriate for mine, may not be for yours.
