Another Friday fishing the lovely JM fishing park in Pattaya. June the 18th 2021 before the restrictions closed the lake we had the chance to try and catch some of the species which are hard to catch but very rewarding when they do give themselves up. Juliens Price Golden carp, Black shark minnow, Hovens carp and Mrigal carp all live in the lake and are rarely seen. The Siamese carp are known to be as large as 66lbs and could be larger feed reasonably well even with a very low stocking density and the odd common and Koi carp are also landed. Add these to the Rohu carp which are not large but feed well and are great sport, Striped catfish and small Mekong catfish all are caught on scaled down method feeders in an attempt to fool the fish which are a bit harder to catch. Davos Dewindross AKA Dave Quarrell, Chicken Danzak and myself fished the afternoon and it was very eventfull as you will see, Davos was playing fish for most of it as he had a predator rod out to sneak some red tails and was rewarded with some personal bests which was brilliant!!
