I had never been to alaska before, so I didn't really know what to expect. Just bought a ticket and flew up to Fairbanks. I got a jeep from Alaska 4x4 Rental (They are the only rental company that lets you drive up the haul road besides Uhaul)
Took me about 8 hrs to drive up to the caribou herd with all the construction that was going on.
3 days later, I find myself holding the fuzzy, velvet-covered rack of a caribou, a lot bigger than I had even dreamed of seeing!!
