Galadriel's Song

This is the last selected poem of the Fellowship of the Ring and marks the end of Part I of this project.

As the Company of the Ring leaves Lorien sailing through the Anduin, they encounter Galadriel and Celeborn. A music came from this ship, a music that has been reproduced here.

It is a nostalgic song whose first part talks about the marvels of the power of Galadriel and how she is able to carve nature according to her will. It also describes the magnificent elven city of Tirion and its golden trees beyond the Western Seas.
After that we enter into the chorus when Galadriel sings about the current state of affairs in Middle Earth: about the autumn and the falling of the leaves, as a metaphor that tells her that her time in Middle Earth is about to expire.
After this there is a long instrumental section that, in the beginning, gives us images of autumn.
We then get a closeup shot of Galadriel and her ring as the music goes from a rock set to almost a complete halt.
The song then gets very intimate so that there are just 2 acoustic guitars and a single melody. This intends to represent the loneliness of Galadriel being one of the lasts of her kind in Middle Earth. She feels her time has passed and walks one last time around the forests of Middle Earth.
The instrumental culminates with a bombastic visit to Caras Galadhon where a complete symphonic orchestra, a full choir and several electric guitars join to celebrate the magnificent elven Realm of Lorien.
In the final section we go back to the same chord progression of the beginning. Galadriel confesses that her power is limited and when singing about ships, she is uncertain of who would come for her and if she could be able to cross the Western Seas.
