That day Tati was cycling across the country with her friends.. The road was long and the sun was already burning the highway. Suddenly a small shadow appeared behind her bike. A tiny dog was running desperately trying to keep up. Her legs were shaking but she refused to stop as if she had decided that Tati was her only hope. Mile after mile the little dog kept chasing her until Tati finally slowed down and looked back. Their eyes met in the middle of the empty road. Those eyes were full of exhaustion and silent pleading. Tati could not pretend she had not seen her. She stopped the bike and walked toward the trembling dog. The little one wagged her tail carefully but her body was weak from hunger and thirst. Tati gave her water and a little food. The dog devoured it as if she had not eaten for days for a moment Tati thought about leaving again but the dog came back and hugged her legs as if begging please do not leave me here...
