This is extended footage from RAF Valley Families Day 2022, of the Chinook that spent quite a lot of time coming to, and leaving from the apron right next to us.
The Chinook (Registration ZA720), was performing multiple tasks during the day, including taking cadets up, giving the Falcons a ride up to altitude before their jump, and even its own display. It's an incredible helicopter, with a distinctive sound (Wokka Wokka). We find them fascinating.
Our camera can be deceiving when I zoom out too, giving a wide angle view, however we were pretty close to this helicopter as it turned around, and at times when it was running next to us on the apron, you can see clearly how difficult it was to film it (mega downwash).
